Economics: Goods, Services, Producers, Consumers, Resources and more!

This Mega Economics Pack has it all! Over three weeks of lessons, activities and stories that will teach your students the basics of economics. You’ll also find directions and materials for your own Market Day Event, Economics Project, Student Bartering Day, and Parents are Producers Day.

During this project, students will earn an income, pay taxes and bills, and learn about the expense of unexpected events. They’ll learn about needs and wants, producers and consumers, goods and services, earning an income, making a budget, supply and demand, saving money, giving, bartering, factories, scarcity and natural, capital and human resources.

Interwoven among the lessons are stories about Katie and her economic dilemmas. These enjoyable stories demonstrate the economic concepts in a realistic way that kids can understand.

The culminating event to this fun unit is Market Day. Students produce goods they sell to their classmates during Market Day. This is an incredibly fun event that former students still talk about three years later.
