Description

Study Eastern Woodland Native Americans with your students. This unit has lessons and activities for a detailed study of Eastern Woodland Indians. Students will make their own diorama pop up books. The lessons on this group of First Americans include close reading selections covering the history of the eastern woodlands such as: Daily life, customs, spirituality, the first Thanksgiving, and the forced migration of the eastern woodland tribes.

This unit is a great source of informational text for your class. In addition, the final activity allows students to create a diorama pop up book about the first people of the eastern woodlands. This unit incorporates both literacy and social studies.
