Easter Basket Craft - with & without template - Easy Paper Baskets! Simple STEAM

Teach the children how to make simple paper baskets from any sheet of paper (though measurements of 21cm x 29cm are used here as an example). Alternatively, use the attached template to make this paper basket craft. Then decorate the baskets for Easter. Though any decor (to suit any occasion) can be used. Students are encouraged to come up with their own decor designs, to help develop their creativity and boost creative confidence. Though basic steps to make a chick are provided. This paper baskets are a super simple STEAM project as basic maths skills are quired to measure and make your own project. It also shows how a 2d piece of light card or paper can easily be turned into a 3d shape.

  • Simple maths (symmetry and measuring)

  • Fun “lesson filler”

This printable includes - 4 pages:

* Lesson plan overview

* 2 page instructions for making a basket from scratch

* A basic small basket template should you wish to use it - this prints onto a single standard size piece of paper/ light card.
