Earth, Sun, and Moon Writing Prompts

Included are several writing prompts for a unit in science on the Earth, Sun, and Moon systems. Students view a power point slide with an image and will journal using their basic facts they have learned about the topic. This requires the students to go beyond knowing facts about the subject. They will apply what they have learned in go further in depth. Teachers can use these to assess if they really grasp the concept that has been taught. The subjects included are: Moon revolution and phases, eclipses, and ocean tides. These writing prompts are a small portion of a larger unit still to come.
