Description

A fun reading comprehension activity for Earth Day, but can be used any time of the year. The Reading Mystery 'Once Upon a Crime - Forest Grime' is a fun way to incorporate a range of ELA skills in one. This optional video hook is a great way to get your students wondering what is going on? It has been designed to set the stage to engage before beginning the paper part of the activity.

The print and go worksheets for this activity can be FOUND HERE

Students will be required to read the story and complete activities to discover clues. Each clue requires students to critically think to decide which suspects they can eliminate from their suspect list.
