Description

Earth Day Plant Journal. This is a simple "How to Plant Seeds" poster and plant journal. You can laminate the poster and hang it in a center for students to rotate through. Students can then follow these simple instruction (giving reading practice and following steps) to plant their seeds. We usually do this unit in conjunction with our Native American Theme, so the seeds we plant are corn, beans, and pumpkin (or squash). Then we observe which seeds sprout first and which ones take the longest, documenting this in our plant journals. It's a great tie in to how much work it really is to live off of the land.
Can also work great for an Earth Day Activity!

In this packet you will find:

*A colorful poster with the "How to Plant Seeds" instructions.
*A simple plant journal with space to document plant growth using sentences and illustrations.

Enjoy!
