Description
Are you looking for activities to use digitally with your students and in person for Earth Day? This distance learning unit was created for an entire week of reading comprehension activities all done throughout Google Slides. There are suggestions, tips and all the resources you would need to spend a week having your students learn about Earth Day from home. I have included a digital reader that you can read to your students via Google Meets or Zoom or use the Youtube audio links attached to the slides. There are reading comprehension strategies, writing activities, word work activities and vocabulary pages. I plan to use this for 1 week of instruction with my first graders. I will be sending them the activities through Google Classroom daily. I hope this resource is just what you are looking for to ease the stress of digital learning instruction. All pages are separated and include text boxes for easy sharing with your students. This fun-filled paper pencil packet will teach your children about the importance of taking care of our Earth. There are comprehension strategies, and loads of literature connections you can use with your favorite Earth Day books. Many writing opportunities and a mini book included as well. There are 3 different craft options: a recycling kid craft, a child holding an earth craft, and an earth and hands craft.
