    This Earth Day Activities Bundle for Special Education, Autism, and Speech Therapy includes a Put- in Recycle or Trash Sorting Task or Craft, an "I love the Earth" Craft and Communication Activity, and a variety of worksheets and no-prep print activities including cut/paste fill in the blank 5 senses "I love the Earth" printable, tracing, coloring, and a color/cut/paste/match printable book.

    Communication Sentence Starter Prompt strips and visual supports are included in the crafts to increase engagement. Great for use with AAC devices and when focusing on core words!

    Earth Day Craft

    This Earth Day Craft and Communication activity for Autism, Speech Therapy, and Special Education is an interactive way to practice identifying colors and Earth day vocabulary using repetitive text with sentence starter prompts while making a cute craft!

    Students color, cut, and paste the Earth, hands, and add their own photo or draw a face on a boy/girl face template.

    Students then choose the icon to fill in the sentence "My favorite place on Earth is...." on a worksheet template.

    During the activity, students can request school supplies (scissors, glue, etc...) using the "Can I have" sentence strip. Students can also request markers or crayons by color using the "Can I have a [red] [crayon] please?" sentence strip prompt.

    After the craft activity students can fill in sentences using sentence strip prompts to talk about the colors and labels of the items on their craft. "It is a [red] [heart]." "It is an [Earth]."

    This activity can be used individually or as a whole group. The sentence strip prompts can be used as a single page or in a file folder format.
