Description
This set of 42 Early Phonics videos will prepare your children for early reading success. Simply click on any video in the “Video Jukebox” to access them from my commercial-free Vimeo page. Also, be sure to e-mail me at MissJenny@EduTunes.com to access these from my EduTunes.com website. There are two main benefits to using the site: First, you’ll get all videos on one convenient page. Second, I’ve included TONS of quick teaching tips under each video. Currently, these tips are only available through the site.
The songs in this set are designed to help children on two levels. First, of course, they use the “power of music” to accelerate learning. (A study* on my EduTunes songs found that music significantly increased student motivation as well as achievement across five learning strands.) Second, they use the Science of Reading research-based principles to help children read in a logical, systematic way. I recommend using my Early Phonics Program BUNDLE to use these songs most effectively.
In this set, you’ll get one video for each letter and sound. These videos repeat letter sounds over 100 times, with three contextual examples each, in less than two
minutes. Children hear the sounds, see the visuals, sing the sounds, and do motions to make learning to read a fun, effective, multi-sensory experience.
You’ll also get the song “ABC Fun,” in which children chant all letters, sounds, and anchor examples in two minutes. In “Letter Sounds,” they spend 30 seconds just chanting through each sound. The “Letter Quiz” and “Sound Quiz” songs challenge children to test their learning.
In addition, you’ll get many songs that teach children to focus on sounds in the language. When used with music only, these are considered to be “phonological awareness” songs. When used with videos, they link the sounds in the language to reading and become phonics songs.
