    Day 7: Imperialism in China: Opium Wars (primary source analysis)

    Day 8: Imperialism in China: Spheres of Influence (student choice activity)

    Day 9: Imperialism in China: Boxer Rebellion (group work document analysis)

    Day 10: Imperialism in Japan: Causes (primary and secondary source analysis)

    Day 11: Imperialism in Japan Meiji Restoration (scaffolded lesson, students interview each other)

    Day 12: Effects of Imperialism (student choice Tic-Tac-Toe activity)

    Day 13: Review (close read)

    Day 14 & 15: Assessment (multiple-choice and documents)

    Who is this resource NOT appropriate for?

    This lesson is probably too difficult for elementary students and may be too easy for AP-level 11th-12th graders. The modified version would work for 6th and 7th graders.
