What educators are saying

A really great way to introduce students to mRNA vaccines, and compare them to "traditional" vaccines.
This was a great, straightforward way to break down the mechanisms of the COVID vaccine to students. I used this in my anatomy class during our immune system unit, right after we learned about the different kinds of immunity.

Description

This EDITABLE, No-Prep assignment is meant to be completed individually and is perfect for an emergency sub plan in any science class. Print it out, and you're ready to go! This assignment asks students to read and analyze four different aspects of the new mRNA vaccine:

  1. How does a virus work inside the body?
  2. How do traditional vaccines work?
  3. How does the mRNA vaccine work?
  4. Testing and efficacy

Included in this file is a PDF and a Word document so you can feel free to use "as is" or modify and differentiate to fit your classroom and students' needs. Enjoy!
