Included in this resource:

  • 14 congratulations/celebration cards from teacher to student, with both a foldable version with two cards per page and a postcard-style card with four cards per page.
  • 45+ suggested phrases for you as inspiration for what to write to your students, even the most challenging students.

Why I created this:

While it is important to celebrate and congratulate every student when things are going well, it is especially important to celebrate with our students who have been through trauma. I created these cards as an educator and foster (soon-to-be adoptive) mom. I have seen kids (including my own) who desperately needed someone to say they were proud of them. That they were loved, valued, appreciated, and that someone noticed what they did. By giving cards to your students when you want to celebrate them, you are contributing positively to your students’ lives by giving them the encouragement and validation that makes people thrive! Thank you for loving on and caring about all of your students, especially ones in a hard place!

Cards included can be used for:

  • Graduation
  • Sports team victories
  • Personal bests in sports activities
  • Classroom milestones
  • Personal milestones
  • Achieving a goal the student set
  • When a student finds out they are going to be a big brother or sister
  • Academic team accomplishments
  • Any time you want to celebrate with your students!

I believe in the value of education. But for kids, the value of a teacher who cares and notices them is more important than any academic truth they will ever learn.

*This is a .zip file containing a PDF file and PowerPoint file.

To use this resource:

  1. Print the pages for the cards that you want to give to your student.
  2. Cut along the middle, dotted line (between the two messages on each page).
  3. Fold along the solid black line. This should give you a card with plenty of room to write a short and sweet personal message to your students.
