EDITABLE! 5B Restaurant Skit Realidades Food Dialogue Project 5 Sub Spanish

If you are looking for an air-tight, very detailed restaurant rubric/skit made by a "type A" teacher, this is it! :) Because of its design, it is impossible for students to turn in anything that came from an online translator -- hooray!

FULLY EDITABLE WORD DOCUMENT -- CUSTOMIZE to suit your needs! I teach Spanish and this is based off of Realidades 5 / 5b, but can be used for ANY restaurant skit (and easily adapted for French and German).

Two pages spell out: groups, script guidelines, skit guidelines, how to keep an official line count, themes to pick from, directions for rehearsing, what to do day of, etc. There is a GROUP rubric for 15 points based on the shared written script. There is an INDIVIDUAL grade sheet that spells out how students are permitted to use a note card (I make them memorize the Spanish, but their note card can contain order of speakers as well as allowing them to use 3-5 ENGLISH words to help mentally jog their Spanish while presenting), their believability/fluency, their behavior as an audience member, and their use of class time. Super detailed!

I've also given them a skit planning page (just a page with lines), as well as four reflective questions (English) that ask them to summarize their experiences with the project AND relate this experience to actually ordering in a Spanish-speaking restaurant.

I've ALSO included an individualized "Yes/No" check-sheet that students can use to make sure that they are ready to get the best grade possible on this skit. The check-sheet is something that is very helpful for students with specialized needs who need a little more assistance organizing, or you can pass it out to all kids, seeing as everyone could benefit from a little extra organization. :)
