What educators are saying

I did this with a classroom of kindergarteners and they loved it! They followed along with me on the document camera and all were able to fold successfully.
My students loved to use this and it is so helpful in the classroom. Thank you for providing such a great activity and it highly recommended to all teachers.

Description

This is the packet you need for a FUN, UNIQUE way to work on visual motor skills and fine motor skills by having children fold paper / make origami to turn pieces of paper into beautiful animals! All you have to do is print the animal and cut out the paper into a square. Children should be able to fold a piece of paper in half by approximately by 2.3 years old and children should be able to fold paper with edges touching by 5 years old. This skill works on coordination, in hand manipulation skills, spatial awareness, sequencing, and dexterity.

Each craft comes with a sequence direction and pictures that show how it should look like when folding the craft.

Children can color in these crafts or leave the animals black and white.

NOTE: Each animal MUST be cut out into a square BEFORE you fold. The folding will not work, unless the animal is cut into a square. Many of these animals are folded THE SAME WAY, they just have different graphics. The graphics are SIMPLE shapes, make with basic clipart. Each sequence is on a colored background.
