HINK PINKS and HINKY PINKIES are riddles that help children learn to problem solve while exercising vocabulary skills (definitions, synonyms, parts of speech, rimes, ...). These Easter themed, printable task cards prompt your students to interpret data, make inferences, draw conclusions, and analyze new information. Hink Pinks, et al. riddles are terrific for centers, enrichment, differentiation, bell ringers, sponge activities, and GATE. They are even available for digital learning on TPT Easel. But the BEST part is your kiddos will love them!

HOW HINK PINKS, et al. WORK

  • Hink Pink clues lead you to a 2 word answer.
    • Each answer word must have just one syllable.
    • The 2 words must rhyme.
      • Example:
      • Clue: superior bird home
      • Answer: best nest
  • Hinky Pinky clues also require a 2 word answer.
    • Each answer word must have two syllables.
    • The 2 words must rhyme.
      • Example:
      • Clue: attempting coloring eggs
      • Answer: trying dyeing

HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT

  • Place an appropriate number of cards at a literacy center.

  • Post several clues each day and train your students to use them as an anchor activity.
