Description

This classic contest combines fun with science and engineering using common materials. Students work alone or in teams.

This product includes my description of how my students dropped eggs AND a web page with links to more options that make it easy for you can tailor the activity to your students.

Bonus: Have students practice creating a container that protects the raw egg just like scientists at NASA protected the Spirit rover we sent to Mars. Use images, a presentation, or three videos of NASA scientists explaining their project. For many students this makes their task a bit more real.

Included in your purchase you'll find:

⁂ A description of the activity with options to consider

⁂ A student worksheet for recording the plan and results

⁂ Adapt a Word™ document of the worksheet for your students

⁂ Two videos that show how to spin an egg to determine if it's raw or cooked

⁂ Three videos by NASA scientists

⁂ A presentation of the work done at NASA

⁂ A web page with additional background information and more options for you
