Class Activity for Years 6/7 and 8 - Requires computers or Ipads
Activity in 3 parts
Part 1: Students are asked to read 2 Dreamtime stories and answer 5 questions on each.
Students are provided with 2 excellent websites to use for their research.
Part 2 : Students are led through an explanation of Aboriginal Art Symbols, looking specifically at how water and rain is represented in 2 Aboriginal artworks. Students answer questions about the works and construct their own symbols for water elements.
Part 3 : Students will write their own dreamtime story and illustrate. Students are provided with a 4 step process for developing a dreamtime story and image.
