WHY DRAWING CONCLUSIONS?

Drawing a Conclusion means using information in the story to help you make a decision about something. Sometimes writers do not tell you their conclusions. To successfully draw a logical conclusion a reader must read and comprehend the details stated in the story. In order to be correct, a student must truly understand what they read and make decisions based on that information. This complex reading skill can be difficult to master and generally requires lots of guidance and practice. These self-correcting Google Slides feature 48 very short comprehension reading passages, each followed by a Drawing Conclusions multiple choice question. Upon answering, students receive immediate reinforcement for each passage.

LEVELED READING PASSAGES:

Starting at reading level 2 and progressing to reading level 3.5, these short reading passages allow students to improve their reading skills in small, sequential steps... ensuring no student gets left behind! Students progress at their own individual pace with these hands-on activities designed to help students master the reading skill- Drawing Conclusions. A specific skills question follow each reading passage to assess student mastery of that particular skill. Perfect for reinforcement and assessment!
