Down to Earth with Zac Efron (Episode 7: London)

The docuseries, Down to Earth with Zac Efron, follows Efron and Darin Olien around the world as they examine eco-friendly and sustainable ways to live and help our Earth. Olien, a wellness expert, also focuses on ways we can improve our own health. Episode 7 takes place in London and examines how they are striving to improve their air quality and create more green space. You also meet the group, Thames21, who help to improve London's river and canals through volunteer clean up. This episode stresses the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. It also encourages and challenges people to do their part. This series would be beneficial in a Geography, Earth Science, Global Studies, Environmental Science, or Current Events course. It would be a great addition for an Earth Day lesson. This could also be used as a distance learning assignment. However, your students will need access to Netflix in order to watch it.

My video guide contains 22 questions and an answer key has been provided for your convenience. The series is rated PG and curse words are bleeped out. The episode is 38 minutes in length but you may want to set aside 45-50 so students can answer the last question and have time to discuss.
