What educators are saying

I used this as one of the stations in my classroom during a station rotation activity to review functions. The students enjoyed it.
Enter my students having to figure out what the domain and range was. It was nice for them to be given the domain or range and see which graph matches up correctly with it.

Description

Domain and Range Match up with GOOGLE® Slides. Algebra students traditionally have so much difficulty with domain and range. This activity is fun and no mess. No glue, no scissors, but the same great results from hands-on activities.

In this Drag & Drop Teach Interactive™ activity, your students match 16 graphs, scatter plots, tables, and mappings with the correct domain and range on two pages. Students drag the correct answer onto the designated place on the slide. For graphs the domain and range are given in interval notation.

An optional second activity included is a function sort. After students finish the domain and range activity, they determine whether each of the 16 relations is function or not and record their answers. Note: some functions are rational functions.

Understand that a function from one set (called the domain) to another set (called the range) assigns to each element of the domain exactly one element of the range. If 𝘧 is a function and 𝘹 is an element of its domain, then 𝘧(𝘹) denotes the output of 𝘧 corresponding to the input 𝘹. The graph of 𝘧 is the graph of the equation 𝘺 = 𝘧(𝘹).
Use function notation, evaluate functions for inputs in their domains, and interpret statements that use function notation in terms of a context.
