How long will this activity take?
My learners typically finish the dissection in 60 - 80 minutes. I split the dissection into two days and review for one day. The additional review activities (optional, but fun and meaningful) can take anywhere from 30-60 minutes.
How do you split it into two days?
- Homework before the dissection - watch the external anatomy video
- Day 1: Dissect and observe the external anatomy. Finish class by watching the internal anatomy video.
- Day 2: Dissect the internal anatomy. Finish by completing the conclusion questions and playing a few quick rounds of BINGO.
- Day 3: Play BINGO again and complete the labeling activity.
Who can complete this activity?
It was designed for students in 9th through 12th grade, but the language is concise and easy-to-understand. 7th and 8th grade learners will still be able to complete it!
