Distributive Property and Combining Like Terms on the Smartboard

This SMART Notebook file for Smartboard is a lesson designed for a Pre-Algebra or Algebra class that is learning to simplify expressions by combining like terms and using the Distributive Property. There is an interactive page for each skill in which the kids use Snickers bars and Jolly Ranchers from a never-ending bank to model expressions as Algebra tiles would. Kids find this engaging, and it helps them visualize and internalize the concepts. A page of notes is also included.
