Dinosaur Activity Bundle: Yoga, Games and Dinosaur Fact Posters

With dinosaurs being one of my favorite themes, I realized I had a lot of dinosaur resources! I put them all together into one fun bundle. Great for school, at home or a rainy day, this bundle will keep your kiddos busy for quite awhile.

Included in this bundle:

Dinosaur Yoga & Movement Cards and Lesson Plan (32 cards total)

Dinosaur Fact Posters (10 posters, 10 horizontal cards)

Dinosaur Yoga & Movement Cards and Lesson Plan I have included a full lesson plan with suggestions for all the Yogalore components, but have also included cards for you to customize this pose card set for your needs.

This set includes:
1 cover card 1 card lists and explains the components of Yogalore classes
1 card “How to Use These Cards”
1 card with Yogalore lesson plan
3 cards separating sections: Beginning Breaths, Moving & Grooving and Rest & Relax
4 blank cards to add poses or activities
18 actual pose cards Beginning Breaths, Moving & Grooving (including 1 partner pose card), 1 group activity, as well as a (sun salutation )
1 Rest & Relax pose card with
2 cards Rest & Relax guided visualization
1 card with Creative/Sensory Exploration activity
32 cards total, printed on 8 pages (on 8.5 x 11" paper) The cards consist of photos with children doing yoga poses. Some poses have factoids about the object in the poses/give tips while doing the pose.

*Keep them uncut and put in sheet protectors

*Cut and store in a recipe-type storage box

*Cut and keep on a ring for easy access and usage

*Cut and laminate for durability

*You can also download to your tablet/mobile device to always have on hand in addition to/instead of printing.

Yoga has so many benefits, including but not limited to:

*Relaxes and alleviates stress

*Builds self-confidence and self-esteem

*Increases physical activity

*Builds strength, balance, and coordination

*Increases ability to focus

*Increases body awareness and overall muscle tone

Studies have shown that teaching during movement helps strengthen learning, improve memory and retrieval of information and increase motivation and morale!!!!

Dinosaur Classic Memory Card Game

Classic memory game for a dinosaur theme. 12 images on one page; print two copies of each page for the memory game, for a total of 24 cards.

Prep: Print two copies of page to have a matching pair of images. Cut cards on lines provided (makes 12 cards per sheet). I like to round the corners for a more finished look. Laminate if desired.

To Play: Turn cards over face down and players turn over two cards with each turn they have. The goal is to find a pair of matching pictures.

Benefits of memory game for children:

· helps improve memory

· helps younger children identify objects both visually and verbally

· encourages taking turns and sharing

· can be played alone of with more than one player

· can be used as a quiet activity or for a theme related center

Spinner Game
This spinner game is a fun and easy activity that you can use along with the yoga pose cards or independently. Comes with a paper spinner and assembly instructions or if you have the plastic spinners from Amazon, you can easily use one of those.

Dinosaur Fact Posters These cute dinosaur posters would make a great addition to your classroom during your dinosaur-themed lesson plan. They have plenty of information and interesting facts about each of the seven dinosaurs, but are also attractive and add a little color in the process. You can have these printed as posters (I did and I love them!) or you can also use them as handouts or to make smaller for other activities.

The dinosaurs featured in this resource are Stegosaurus, Pteradactyl, Brachiosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Parasaurolophus, Edmontosaurus, Velociraptor, Oviraptor and Spinosaurus. I included some visuals as far as the size of the dinosaurs to give the kids an idea as to how big some of these dinosaurs were.

They can also be sized down to use as cards too, just make sure you don't scale them down too much or some of the text might be too small.
