Description

Pirate Place Value Digital Math Quest GAME - Adventure meets Escape Room with this style of game. This is LEVEL 1 Place Value only >> Please check the math skills listed further below to see if it is right for your class. Your students will be playing Redbeard's Rebellion in a graphic digital game format. This resource is designed to be played on any device with an Internet connection. (Please read the technical tips section and try the free game sample below to see if this type of game will work on your device.)

Game Features

  • Video introduction story
  • Digital game links that can be played on any device with an Internet connection (please check sample)
  • There are four different possible endings, each with a short ending video clip.
  • Students must discover the passwords at the end of each chapter to unlock the proceeding part of the quest story.
  • Multiple choice answers
  • Game links are provided via PDF, Google Slides, QR Codes, and Easel.

Implementation Suggestions

  • Turn it into a competition to see who can complete the quest first in your classroom, OR set a timer with a limit that everyone must aim to beat to finish the adventure (or a single chapter if you prefer to break it up into smaller chunks).
  • Complete as a whole class on your Interactive Whiteboard. Students take turns answering the questions.
  • Assign your students to complete independently or in pairs on a device. This could be something they do as an early finisher task, during your math block, or for homework.
