What is a multiplication mosaic?

A multiplication mosaic is a colouring activity in which you colour in a series of squares in different colours to reveal a picture - similar to a 'Paint by Numbers' activity. With this excel multiplication mosaic, you must work out small multiplication sums, if you get it correct the square colours in, if you get it incorrect, your entered number turns red (so then press 'undo' and give the sum another go until the square colours itself in).

At the end you will have a clear and defined picture.
