    1. Passion Project

    This no prep resource is perfect for teachers looking for engaging and meaningful end of the year activities. It contains two full weeks of activities to guide and support students through the process of creating their very own Passion Project, a research project similar to Genius Hour.

    The goal for this project is... for students to research and explore any topic they want, and create any product they can come up with to share their learning. This Passion Project is similar to projects conducted during genius hour. It allows students to engage in learning, enjoy it, and get excited about it! Student choice is what makes this project so meaningful to students.

    This digital Google Slides resource contains slides to guide your students in the process of creating their very own podcast! In five steps, students will learn about what makes for a good podcast, brand their own podcast, use digital graphic organizers to plan, and then record their podcast episode! This project can be done in groups of 2, all the way up to 4 or 5.

    This is a two-in-one product - You get a set of 12 printable graphic organizers, perfect to go along with any fiction book. You also get a no prep distance learning friendly version of these organizers in an editable and engaging Google Slides format that will promote collaboration, even in the distance learning setting.

    We've formatted the Google Slides into a Digital Book Club, similar to literature circles, that allows for small groups to work on reading standards with ANY fiction book - easily differentiate by selecting books that align with student reading levels.     This resource is great for all learners in your classroom. You can easily differentiate based on the books / texts you assign. This is also a great resource as an extension for the gifted learners in your class. For an independent enrichment project for your gifted learners, I'd pair the Digital Book Club with my Podcasting in the DIGITAL Classroom resource.

    This would even be great for summer enrichment, or to pair with summer reading assignments!

    This low prep, student led project gets kids engaged by allowing for student choice and personal interests to take center stage.     This fun, no prep research project gets students to learn about different holidays and the elements that make a holiday what it is. Then, they'll take that knowledge to create a new holiday! Lastly, they'll select from a choice board to spread the word about their new holiday!

    10. Classroom Newscast

    This classroom newscast gets students to take on the role of news anchors, reporters, or guests, as they write and produce their own news show. Leave it open-ended, or assign an overarching topic for students to report on.

    This project can go in so many directions. Students can report on school-related news, current events in the world, or historical events. They can also use this as a project to accompany a novel study, sharing news stories that summarize important events in the novel, and interview the characters as guests. The only limit to this project is the imagination! The cross-curricular possibilities are endless!
