What educators are saying

This was a fun and exciting way to review! My students were engaged from start to finish. I really enjoyed this resource.
My students really enjoyed this escape room! I let them work with a group and made it a contest to see who could escape first. I first went over directions and showed them how to access it, and overall each group did very well.

Description

This Digital Escape Room is a Fall reading review or Test Prep Game. It is perfect for the day before halloween weekend, Fall Break or Thanksgiving Break. There is not a thing you need to do except provide the link!

Passages Include:

Fiction: Diary of A Wimpy Kid Excerpt

Fiction: Pie Contest Friendship Story

Nonfiction: Nickelodeon Slime

Nonfiction: History of Wild Turkeys (Fowl Finale)

These are full challenges and all four contain a passage, they are fiction and informational/nonfiction. Each challenge has a set of questions students must complete correctly in order to get the symbol, word, letter or number that they put together at the end to come up with their code to move on to the next challenge. It should take your students anywhere from 60 - 90 minutes to complete depending on the solo teams or groups you create.

This can be done in pairs or small groups. This Escape Room can also be done alone if you wish, but it is much harder alone. Let students know where the Google Form link is. Once you provide the link (use the share button on the Google Form) with your students, they can begin the game. The Google Form will guide them through the game! A troubleshooting and directions page is included with many more details.

This Escape Room covers TEKS and Common Core Standards. It is appropriate for the needs of fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students depending on the groups and levels of your students. This will challenge your high level learners and bring together your students who are on the lower side as they work alongside their medium-high peers.

Most importantly let them enjoy and have fun!

Note: You DO NOT need to request edit access. You can just click the links provided and they will automatically have you make a copy of each slide and the form.
