Description

***Now featuring a SpEdder Together best seller in digital format***

Let's get digital, digital!

Are your students struggling to relate unit rates to the real world? Look no further! This fun digital project lets students see the real price of cars, grasp miles per gallon, price per gallon per year and more! What better way to practice car shopping and unit rates than with a digital resource?!

This project is perfect for high school special ed students! It relates math on their level to age-appropriate interests and topics. It is a total win in my classroom! Blast some learning tunes and let the kids get shopping!

Continue to marry education and technology in your 21st century classroom with this fabulous resource that introduces a complex concept through understandable terms!

Teaching in a 1:1 district is a blessing, but not everyone has that luxury. If needed, incorporate digital notebooks slowly, through resources like Google Drive, Google Classroom and Microsoft Drive, or even email! A paperless classroom is an amazing thing to aspire towards - it certainly yields less paperwork!

Digital learning provides numerous opportunities for differentiation, modification, collaboration and more. It provides students with the opportunity to self-pace and self-assess, changing how we know and understand education.

You may be asking what is a digital notebook? In reality, it's not much different from the tactile experience. Essentially, an educator distributes their materials in a web-based platform, like Google Drive, which reproduces to their students and their devices. Students then are able to access, edit, alter and print files from their own technologies.

Using digital learning tools is amazing! It doesn't require printing (and jammed printers), often features automatic save, maintains students' documents in a single location, is highly engaging and so much more! I'm typing this on a computer now, aren't I?!

This activity is accessible in both printable and digital formats. Check out the printable version here. The notebook is available in both PowerPoint and PDF (not including pre-made text boxes) forms, as well as in Google Slides (link in Legal Pages). All versions include a realistic watercolor sky background, should you wish to print in color. My students preferred completing it on Microsoft OneNote and made their notes/marks with Microsoft Ink or typing directly onto the printed slides.
