Description

My no prep, digital art project for elementary kids to build a leprechaun on Google Slides™ is an engaging Saint Patrick's Day activity. Students will practice technology skills using my digital leprechaun resource and step by step art lesson. Then, pick a writing prompt to draft a creative story about their leprechaun project.

Need fun, fast finisher activities for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders? Digital art projects are paperless, take up no space, and don't use art materials. Simply assign the leprechaun activity using your LMS, and stop worrying about early finishers!

TEMPLATES 2 WAYS

  • The Google Slides version of this St. Patrick's Day activity includes tech tips and step by step directions with pictures for independent learning. And, kids can build a leprechaun using either copy & paste or drag & drop.
  • The Easel version is a highly simplified drag & drop activity that you can quickly assign.

OVERVIEW OF DIGITAL BUILD A LEPRECHAUN

First, your students will find the leprechaun builder slide. This is where they’ll copy all the leprechaun body parts onto beginning with the legs. Then, they’ll add shoes, clothes, arms, a head, and hat.

Once they've created their sprite, they’ll select all the parts and group them together. Then, they’ll copy it into one of the rainbow landscapes slides where they’ll add some fun extras.
