50 STUDENT-FRIENDLY DEWEY DECIMAL SIGNS

Although I spent MANY lessons teaching the Dewey Decimal system to my 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, our nonfiction section of the library remained greatly under utilized. When students were asked why they never browsed in this section, they shared that they didn’t know where to find the books they were looking for. (Sigh!)

I began shopping for BIG, colorful, student-friendly Dewey signs to help guide students to the sections they were interested in, but I did not find the signage we needed. So, I created this set!

I hope you enjoy them as much as we do! As soon as this signage was up (see thumbnail for picture), the nonfiction section began to draw attention and books started flying off the shelves. These signs can be printed in any size proportionate to sizes 13 x 4, and 11 x 8.5.

In addition to the signs shown in the preview, also included are a NEW sign, one sports sign with multiple sports on it, and a biography sign with the number 92, rather then 920.
