Description
Need a no-prep practice activity for finding the determinant of a matrix? You found it!
- How it works: This worksheet requires students to find the determinant of a matrix and find their answer in a 4x4 grid, mark the solution, and continue until they've marked four in a row (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally).
- What you get: Two versions, each containing 16 problems for a total of 32 unique problems. Answer keys are provided.
- Two versions with 2x2 matrices problems
- Two versions with 3x3 matrices problems
- Why it's awesome: This worksheet is self-checking - all answers are shown in the 4x4 grid. Students are playing a game while practicing the math topic - better than a boring worksheet!
Multiple Ways to Play:
- Complete either version individually
- Play as partners (each student plays a different worksheet version) to see who can connect 4 first
- Play a blackout version for even more practice!
- Play "connect 3" for students who need differentiation
Perfect for:
- Sub plans
- Math stations
- Extra practice
- Study material
- Homework assignment
