What educators are saying

This is such a fun project! It gives a new creative spin to designing a rollercoaster. I liked the google sheet auto calculator that came with it. I will be using it again.

Description

In this great hands on activity students will need to follow the Law of Conservation of Energy to create blueprints to their own roller coaster. The students will need to calculate the over all mass, height, PE and KE of their roller coaster at various spots long it's path while keeping in mind their linear blueprints must be to scale, in color and very accurate. This document has everything you need to help your students master these skills. All you need to do is help your students bring their creative minds!

If your students like/liked this one try out my Conservation of Momentum activity where students have to design and make their own Conservation of Momentum problem and prove it through math.
