What educators are saying

Great addition to our Genetics unit! It really made students think about the ethics behind Designer Babies as well as what they would be willing to "change" if they had the opportunity.
Excellent resource! Students were so engaged and kept asking for do overs after justifying some of their choices.

Description

This is a game designed to help students understand concepts of gene editing and designer babies. Each pair of students gets a unique fetal profile and a different budget and then makes decisions about whether and how to "design" their baby. It is meant to give a deeper understanding of concepts of gene editing & also how income disparity may affect access to these new technologies. The game takes about 30 minutes to play and can be played multiple rounds to give students access to different scenarios if you would like.
