- Word Document File
What educators are saying
Description
It's game time! Students will use their understanding of theoretical probabilities and frequency of outcomes to design a fun carnival/festival/amusement park game for their peers to play.
This project includes student-facing instructions, a graphic organizer for planning, all handout to record their work, and a Thinking/Knowledge-Understanding/Application/Communication rubric (includes the list of relevant Ontario specific expectations for grade 6).
ONTARIO CURRICULUM - SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS COVERED
Grade 6 Probability
– express theoretical probability as a ratio of the number of favourable outcomes to the total number of possible outcomes, where all outcomes are equally likely
– predict the frequency of an outcome of a simple probability experiment or game, by calculating and using the theoretical probability of that outcome
