    Description

    This Dental Health Activities Bundle for special education, autism, and speech therapy is a great addition to February Dental Health Month lessons. Practice Prepositions, Dental Health vocabulary, matching, communication, describing, and coloring/fine motor skills with matching file folders, adapted books, printable books, worksheets, crafts, and more!

    Includes:

    Dentist Craft "Build/dress up Dentist"

    This Dental Health theme "Build a Dentist" Craft and Communication activity for Autism, Speech Therapy, and Special Education is an interactive way to practice identifying colors, clothing, and dental health vocabulary using repetitive text with sentence starter prompts.

    Students choose the dentist template (male/female), the patient (male/female), dress the dentist, add dental tools, and even a speech bubble for "no cavities or yes cavities!" Students color, cut, glue, onto the dentist template.

    An optional additional dentist office coloring page is included that use can use to "lift the flaps" to see inside the office.

    After choosing each part, students will fill in sentences using sentence strip prompts to talk about the colors of the items and what the dentist is wearing. You can use the sentence prompt page as a group or have one for each student.

    - “My dentist is holding a [mirror.]

    - “My dentist is wearing a [coat].…”

    - “My dentist is wearing a [blue] [pants].


    Dental Health Adapted Books and Activities

    These Dental Health Adapted Books and Activities for Autism, Special Education, and Speech Therapy are a great addition to your Dental Health Month Lessons. 3 errorless and 3 identical matching adapted books are included "How to Brush your Teeth," "Losing a Tooth," and "Dental Health: Make Good Choices."

    Hands-on activities include a tooth brushing template with step by step directions. Students color the tooth to make it dirty, and then use a real (or included template) toothbrush and floss to clean the teeth.

    A cut and paste "Put your tooth under the pillow" coloring activity is included as well.

    Video choice boards and a "Social Story: How to Brush Your Teeth" version is included to print or use on the interactive white board.
