Designed to provide teachers with a research-based resource for early reading practice, these short vowel decodable sentence activity pages are perfect for morning work, small groups, independent work, or centers. You will receive a total of 4 prep-free, cut and glue activity pages for each short vowel (20 pages total). There are 16 sentences included for each short vowel, creating a total of 80 sentences. The short vowel of focus is noted at the top of each page. Each page contains 4 sentences comprised of short vowel, consonant-vowel-consonant words and common high frequency words, as well as 4 matching graphics. After reading the sentences, students will cut and glue the pictures at the bottom of the page next to the corresponding correct sentences. The text is appropriate for beginning readers, and will encourage decoding practice. The skill of decoding is critical to the development of reading proficiency. Continued practice with decoding will positively impact the ability to read fluently and comprehend the text.
