What educators are saying

This is a great resource! My students were successful with it and used it during centers. I love that the sentences are completely decodable.
My students enjoyed being able to recognize the digraphs taught as a follow up activity. I like how this resource used the words within the context of sentences they were able to read independently with the picture supports.

Description

Decodable Sentences: Research-based reading practice!

Designed to provide teachers with a research-based resource for early reading practice, these decodable sentence activity pages comprised of short vowel words (CVC) and digraph words (CCVC/CVCC) are perfect for morning work, small groups, independent work, or centers. The digraphs CH, SH, TH, and CK are represented in this pack. You will receive a total of 4 prep-free, cut and glue activity pages for each digraph, as well as 4 pages with mixed digraphs (20 pages total). The digraph of focus is noted at the top of each page. Each activity page contains 4 sentences comprised of CVC/CCVC/CVCC words and common high frequency words, as well as 4 matching graphics. After reading the sentences, students will cut and glue the pictures at the bottom of the page next to the corresponding correct sentences. The text is appropriate for beginning readers, and will encourage decoding practice. The skill of decoding is critical to the development of reading proficiency. Continued practice with decoding will positively impact the ability to read fluently and comprehend the text.

I hope this activity pack serves as a great supplement to your reading instruction! Please contact me with any questions!
