Teach reading fluency with these decodable reading passages and comprehension question worksheets and PowerPoint slides. Repeated reading is a proven research based practice to help your kindergarten students increase their reading fluency.
Included so far; 25 CVC decodable reading passage PowerPoint slides and 75 worksheets ( 3 options per slide) and 24 CCVC, CVCC, CCVCC decodable reading passage PowerPoint slides and 75 worksheets ( 3 options per slide)The first option has a range of what, who, where, how and why questions to check for understanding and reading comprehension. The students can complete independently because both answer options are decodable and they will be able to read and select the correct answer.
I created this resource to support early reading fluency in the classroom with passages that are actually decodable words following a scope and sequence and a handful of high frequency words.
I have also included an example fluency routine with 10 helpful steps, a phonics lesson and example literacy block, to help support implementation of this resource.
