    Each card has a decodable sentence. Students will read the sentence and find the picture that best matches the sentence.

    In addition to the CVC words, there are 26 high-frequency words used in the sentences. Please note that every word does not appear in each short vowel pack. For a closer look at the sentences, refer to pages 7-11. The high-frequency words are: I, in, a, is, on, it, he, and, the, has, see, like, am, to, his, here, can, sit, we, by, my, up, had, look, big, at

    What's Included:

    150 decodable sentences cards and pictures are included. There are 30 cards for each short vowel.

    How to Prepare:

    Print the activity on cardstock. Laminate for durability. Cut out the sentence and picture cards. You can add sticky hook-and-loop dots on the cards if you'd like!

    How to Use:

    Students will read the sentence and find the picture that best matches the sentence.

    Teaching Ideas:
