What educators are saying

I used this resource to reinforce and engage students. It worked well with Declaration of Independence PowerPoint and Foldable Notes Set by Jersey Girl Gone South.
My students found the activities in this resource very engaging. The brochure and the texting activity was a great hit! It was a great supplement for my Gallopade curriculum as it went more in depth than the workbook did. Definitely would recommend!

Description

Need some fun and engaging activities to use while covering the Declaration of Independence!? Included in this pack are;task cards, center cards, organizers, craftivity book, texting activity, and a brochure craftivity!

Please note that the craftivity, center cards, and task card products are listed in my store as individual items. However, they are offered at a HUGE discounted price in this bundle.

Craftivity- Included in this pack is a mini book which reviews the purpose, sections, and why the Declaration of Independence was necessary.

* Declaration of Independence craftivity book

* 3 organizers your students complete with their book

Center Cards- This is similar to the craftivity ( as far as content covered), but this approach allows students to learn about this important document while reading different cards. There are several organizers and a vocabulary activity you can have your students complete while they're learning away!

Task cards- These task cards can be used to review or assess students on their knowledge of the Declaration of Independence. I like to play SCOOT with these cards, but you could also use them in small groups or as a remediation activity for your students who may need an extra push.

Textin' Thomas- This activity requires students to think outside the box by creating their own texting dialogue between Thomas Jefferson, a loyalist, and patriot. The dialogue is sure to get interesting!

Brochure Crafttivity- Students will complete a hashtag brochure, which reviews the Declaration of Independence. From there, students will turn their brochure into Thomas Jefferson by adding his head, arms, legs, and feet. My students really enjoyed this because it was able to showcase their brochure.

Please check out the preview to see samples from each section!
