Description

Are you searching for a fun and engaging way for your students to practice converting fractions to decimals? This collection of 4 color by number activities with an environmental and Earth Day theme is just what you need!  The set is differentiated and includes a page for tenths, a page for hundredths, and two pages for mixed practice. Your learners will love completing these worksheets and they won’t even realize they are working on important skills for fractions with denominators of 10 and 100.

As extra motivation for your scholars, create a personal hands-on booklet using one of the cover options. It is easy to create a mini-book for each student. Just select a cover sheet from the two choices, print the desired worksheets, and staple them together.

To allow for differentiation, each activity has a specific level of difficulty. You may choose to use all the worksheets with your entire class or distribute different sets based on ability level. Select from options for tenths, hundredths, or mixed skills.

Express a fraction with denominator 10 as an equivalent fraction with denominator 100, and use this technique to add two fractions with respective denominators 10 and 100. For example, express 3/10 as 30/100, and add 3/10 + 4/100 = 34/100.
Use decimal notation for fractions with denominators 10 or 100. For example, rewrite 0.62 as 62/100; describe a length as 0.62 meters; locate 0.62 on a number line diagram.
