Description

This 10-Day 5th Grade Math Unit covers Decimal Operations and is aligned with the Common Core Standards. This unit was developed to meet the standards 5.NBT.B.7, which covers all concepts related to performing operations with multi-digit whole numbers and with decimals to hundredths.

This units will focus on learning and mastering a particular operation in order to fluently add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals to the hundredths. Lessons and daily worksheets will provide students with practice opportunities that can be used in small group, as independent practice, or homework.

  • DAY 5 - Multiplying Decimals Using Area Models
  • DAY 6 - Multiplying Decimals Using Area Box Model
  • DAY 7 - Dividing Decimals Using Base Ten Models
  • DAY 8 - Dividing Decimals Using Hundredths Grids
  • DAY 9 - Dividing Decimals Using A Number Line
  • DAY 10 - Dividing Decimals Using Partial Quotients

Each Mini-Lesson includes:

  • Decomposes the learning target (verb, strategy, vocabulary)

Student Guided Notes for each day of lessons.
