Decimal Number Place Value - Common Core Standards

Are decimals baffling your students? This notebook file starts with the whole and animates for students the divisions that occur in decimal place values through the thousandths place. Through guided practice and demonstration, students will have opportunities to read, write, and draw decimals in an effort to reinforce the meanings of these numbers. Special attention is made to how the place values connect to each other - an especially tricky Common Core concept. Attached to the file are worksheets that can be used for homework and guided practice.
