What educators are saying

Fantastic Catholic education resource to use with junior aged students! Looking forward to more future purchases!
Excellent resource to engage students on All Hallow's Eve, All Saints Day, and All Souls Day. Promotes inquiry and discussions about days students may have heard about, but do not always understand. Thank you!

Description

This product is intended to teach students about the events of the Days of the Dead, including All Hallows Eve, All Saints' Day, and All Souls' Day. These can be used as three separate WebQuests or can be used in combination together.

The All Hallows Eve WebQuest has students visit a website and answer questions based on what they read. These topics include the three days that make Allhallowtide and its celebration as a communion of saints as well as the Catholic origins and customs that are rooted in today's Halloween traditions.

The All Saints' Day WebQuest has students visit two websites. The first website presents some of the basic facts of All Saints' Day and students are given questions based on that information. The second website presents 6 Lesser Known Saints and has students answer questions in order to get to know some lesser known saints in honor of All Saints' Day.

The All Souls' Day WebQuest has students visit two websites. The first website presents some of the basic facts of All Souls' Day and students are given questions based on that information. The second website has students learn about the "Prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatory" given to St. Gertrude the Great.

Websites are provided using both an active link and a QR code. This can be pushed out digitally using the active link or used as a worksheet where students have access to a device that can scan a QR code (IPad or phone). An answer key is provided.

The TpT Digital Activity Platform does not support active links. A link to a copy of the Google doc of just the assignment is included with the answer key.
