Description

Writing Workshop in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade focuses on narrative, informational, expository, argumentative, opinion writing, and more... and these different types of writing CAN be exciting for students! This set of engaging writing prompts includes 20 writing activity PowerPoint slides that will keep your students writing and begging for more! In just 10 minutes or less, your students can participate in purposeful, intentional writing that targets various writing skills and is just... FUN! Let these change your students' emotions and feelings about writing, one slide at a time!

This set of writing routines is offered inside The Daily Writing Disguise; a membership where writing activities are supplied in an ALL-ACCESS model to help you keep writing exciting and unpredictable! You will get access to EVERY writing activity in this curriculum! This product is the COLLECTION 1 release. These are not month/season-specific and can be used at any time!

WITH THIS RESOURCE YOU WILL RECEIVE:

  • 20 animated writing activity slides (4 different types and 5 of each one in PowerPoint format; they can easily be imported and used as Google Slides)
  • Simple lesson plans with support and extension ideas
  • Exemplars so you can be the writing expert - use them for modeling or as your own
  • Printable writing response templates (optional to use as students can just write directly into their notebooks)
  • Icon cards so students can match the icon with the writing activity; this is a great addition to literacy centers

These writing activities are low prep/no prep and include everything you will need to implement meaningful writing opportunities in your class. The moans, groans, and tears will disappear! Start using those small chunks of time before or after lunch, enrichment, or recess for good! These are great to begin and/or end your writing block or school day! Placing them in your writing center or literacy center is always an option, but they are really best to be facilitated by a teacher to get the student buy-in and excitement you desire!
