Daily Vocabulary Activity for High School Students with Interaction

As a sponge activity, each day, post a new vocabulary word. It would be assumed that the students would add these vocabulary words to their notes every day as well. Vocabulary words are then uses later on in other definitions and examples to build on mastery. (ROOT WORDS BEGIN THE SLIDES) This is a 182 slide Smartboard Notebook document. A slide a day for your classroom as a starter activity.

The students would read the vocabulary word and its definition.

The students would read the example of how the word is used within a sentence using context clues.

The students create their own sentences using context clues in their notes and write their examples on the Smartboard to share with the class.

This only takes about 5 minutes every class but builds on their vocabulary.
