Description

This is a Smartboard notebook file that contains 4 blocks of daily morning practice which includes: math, phonics, vocabulary, and writing. Each morning when you are completing attendance, lunch count, students are still engaged in learning common core standards. It is also a fabulous review of skills for students.I have had so much success with this bundle of work. It covers 180 days and can be made to fit your needs. It progressively grows rigorous as the year progresses.
How to use:
- After students unpack their book bag and write down their homework, have them open up a composition notebook and draw one line vertically down the middle and one line horizontally across the middle of the page. They will have four blocks. On their page they will copy and answer each subject area into each block. You will have to walk them through the procedures early in the year until they get the routine mastered and then they will do well on their own. Students do not need to write the directions, just the activity. You will need to read the directions or explain a picture if they can't understand it.
-The first box is math, second, language arts, third vocabulary, and fourth writing and sentence correction.
- In the vocabulary box they could write a sentence with the word and draw a picture or definition for upper grades or for kindergarten they could write the vocabulary word and draw a picture.
- In the fourth box, they must write the sentence correctly.
- After students have finished, review answers on the Smartboard. Have the students make corrections so they will learn. Allow students to move their clip toward the positive color for doing their best!
