What educators are saying

This product has changed the way my students complete morning work! I also see myself using it as a transition item from subject to subject. It gets the students thinking and working on essential grammar and sentence-building things and even helps spiral lessons previously taught.
I've been using this resource during tutoring with students who missed a lot of school. It's been helpful to see which areas they need more support and where they are showing the most confidence.

Description

This unit contains all 6 of my Daily Math packs for third grade students for a total of 160 days of Daily Math as well as 40 days of Summer take-home practice. Used throughout the school year, these sheets are designed to spiral in difficulty, beginning with a review of Second Grade Common Core Standards in the Back to School pack and ending with a review of Third Grade Common Core Standards in the Summer Take-Home Booklet.

Some of the specific topics covered in this bundle include:

- multiplication and division within 100.
- solving word problems involving the four operations.
- rounding numbers to the nearest 10 or 100.
- representing numbers in standard, written and expanded forms.
- addition and subtraction within 1000.
- multiplying 1-digit whole numbers by multiples of 10.
- understanding equivalent fractions.
- comparing fractions.
- telling time to the nearest minute.
- solving word problems involving masses and volumes.
- answering questions involving picture and bar graphs.
- solving for area and perimeter.
. . . and more!

Each page in this packet contains two days of Daily Math, with four to five questions for each day. Each day covers various Common Core Standards, in the attempt to provide students with a comprehensive review of skills.

These pages can be provided to students at the beginning of a math period, as morning work, be placed in a math center for independent work, or can be given as homework to students in need of a skill review.

Standards

Tell and write time to the nearest minute and measure time intervals in minutes. Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals in minutes, e.g., by representing the problem on a number line diagram.
Measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using standard units of grams (g), kilograms (kg), and liters (l). Add, subtract, multiply, or divide to solve one-step word problems involving masses or volumes that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as a beaker with a measurement scale) to represent the problem.
Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. Solve one- and two-step “how many more” and “how many less” problems using information presented in scaled bar graphs. For example, draw a bar graph in which each square in the bar graph might represent 5 pets.
Relate area to the operations of multiplication and addition.
Solve real world and mathematical problems involving perimeters of polygons, including finding the perimeter given the side lengths, finding an unknown side length, and exhibiting rectangles with the same perimeter and different areas or with the same area and different perimeters.
