One of the things that I LOVE to do the most with my students prior to Parent Teacher Conferences, is to have all of my students complete this Student Evaluation page to have them reflect on their learning and social-emotional behaviors in the classroom/in school. Parents really appreciate hearing from their child themself in addition to their teacher, to see how they are doing in school. You will even get some laughs and smiles from showing it off to parents!
Students should fill out this Student Evaluation page sometime prior to conferences. Explain all of these statements to students and ask them to honestly rate how often they do that particular thing. Students will rate themselves by coloring a Thumbs up for Always, Thumb in the middle for Sometimes, OR a Thumbs Down for Never. Then you are ready to show off their responses to parents at conferences!
