**IMPORTANT** This is a resource for use with Google Slides. You will download a PDF with the links to the resources. You will then be prompted to make a copy of each before you make any changes (select pages to assign, etc).
Identifying the Main Idea is such an important skill, but can sometimes be hard for young learners to grasp.
I've made it easy to teach your students this important comprehension skill and to differentiate practice opportunities for them!
This bundle includes a teaching presentation that breaks down this difficult concept into easy-to-follow steps! It even has AUDIO, which is perfect for distance learning! Your students can simply click to hear the presentation read to them.
It has everything you need to teach and reinforce Main Idea & Details in a fun, exciting way!!
In keeping with my character packs, this one has a Main Idea Moose to help make the strategy more memorable and engaging, but I also included posters and materials without the moose as an option.

~Reading Passages FIVE Differentiated non-fiction passages, two versions of each:
Version 1- Students color-code passage with movable highlighting strips, then drag sentences to complete a web
Version 2- Easier text. Students color-code passage, then drag pictures to show the details from the text.
~Main Idea Drag and Drop Students drag the sentences in order, starting with the main idea. FIVE passages.
~What's the Main Idea? card game 20 Picture Slides. Kids identify and highlight the main idea sentence for a group of pictures. *BONUS Boom card version for free!
~What's the Main Idea? Students type the main idea and details of a group of pictures. Includes blank template for you to add your own, or students to make their own!
